Who you are: 

We are looking for an HR Director with expertise in New York State and Federal employment law, best-practice recruitment strategies and generalist HR management. This role will focus on being a visible and senior member of the global HR team in NY, being responsible for culture development, attracting top talent as well as being the first point of contact for HR matters locally. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments, ideally within the SaaS sector. 

In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of not only our culture and direction locally but also our talent pool by executing effective recruitment strategies that align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generalist HR Support: Provide support across all HR functions including performance  management, employee relations, compensation, benefits and organizational development.
  • Employment Law: Ensuring Company compliance with all applicable New York City, New York State and Federal laws and regulations. 
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Lead and manage the end-to-end recruitment process across all levels of the organization, from sourcing to offer stage, ensuring an efficient, high-quality recruitment experience.
  • Talent Sourcing & Pipeline Development: Build and maintain a strong candidate pipeline by leveraging various sourcing channels, including direct sourcing, job boards, social media, and networking within the SaaS and tech space.
  • Employee Engagement & Retention: Develop and implement strategies to foster employee engagement, enhance retention, and create a positive workplace culture.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Analyze data and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment and retention strategies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Salary Benchmarking: Conduct regular salary benchmarking and market research to ensure compensation packages align with the industry standards and company budget.


Experience and Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of New York and federal employment laws, regulations and compliance best practices.
  • Proven experience in recruitment and generalist HR, with a focus on SaaS or tech environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, with the flexibility to adapt to changing needs and priorities.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, able to work effectively with senior leadership and hiring managers across departments.
  • Experience with recruitment tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and other recruitment software.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple hiring processes simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a strategic and analytical approach to recruitment challenges.


The salary range for this position is $140,000-$160,000 (USD).
